What is LLM.txt?
An llms.txt file is a plain text file, placed at the root of your website (yoursite.com/llm.txt), that gives AI assistants a clean, structured summary of your business — instead of forcing them to guess from scraped HTML.
Think of it like a robots.txt file, but instead of telling crawlers what they *can't* access, it tells AI assistants what your business actually *is*.
What Goes In It
A good llms.txt includes:
- Your company name and a one-line description
- Who you're for (your target customer)
- Your key features
- Your pricing, if you're comfortable sharing it
- Links to your homepage and key pages
